Meet some of our lucky alumni! With the help of Valley Dog Rescue of Texas, these wonderful dogs have found their forever homes where they will be safe and loved for the rest of their lives.
“You can tell they truly are best friends and love having their own bed or couch or chair to sleep on. They just appreciate being loved and spoiled rotten. They know they always get my last few bites of food and will wait their turn. They sit for treats when they come to get their feet cleaned and massaged! I know, we aren’t normal!!”

“I have the most incredibly sweet and personality-filled action buddy, thanks to Valley Dog Rescue. I have known for a couple years that I wanted a dog, and would look at rescue sites but the process to get a dog was burdensome and frustrating. I would contact the X,Y,Z rescue agency and either have silence, or be told that the dog was no longer available etc… From the first minute that I contacted Carol and Leah it was a whole different experience. We immediately FaceTimed so I could ‘meet’ my chosen doggy. Even though I couldn’t meet her, at least I got more than a photo. Then it was daily contact on what she was like, what she needed fixing (chewing!), how active she was, etc…. They gave advice on how to help her acclimatize, what she eats, etc. They went above and beyond to make this happen, when my local rescue agency that had connected me with them, fell apart financially and could no longer help with the adoption. They are totally here for the dogs and the owners and will go the extra million miles to make both happy. They are THE BEST!!”

“Valley Dog Rescue of Texas gave me the love of my life, “Barley”. Barley is by far the most impressive animal known to me. He’s not just a dog, but my son. He’s adored by all and returns his submissive love towards all those who approach him whether they have 2 legs or 4! Thanks for rescuing me, Valley Dog Rescue of Texas, by saving this animals life and changing mine.”

“I would like to commend Valley Dog Rescue for the amazing work they do. I had the experience of fostering then adopting two amazing dogs over the past year. I lost my husband in March of 2021, and I wanted to adopt a puppy as a companion. I was blessed with crossing paths with VDR around Christmas of 2022. They had just rescued a few litters of puppies. I was able to stop by and see the babies and one in particular came up to me. I knew it had to be fate. It was a little boy with a spot resembling a heart on his left side. (my husband was left-handed) I named him Alby in honor of my husband, and I was able to foster him before the New Year then adopt him a few months later.
As Alby continued to grow, he became more rambunctious, and I felt that he needed a companion to play with. I reached back out to the amazing group of women and VDR and was introduced to another sweet well behaved young lady. I named her Arizona (that is where my husband is from) Alby and Arizona made a great match. They started playing the moment they met.
I truly appreciate and admire the ladies at VDR, especially Carol and Leah. I wasn’t just introduced to my new fur babies; I was also introduced to two amazing people I truly respect.”

“Beaux has been the sweetest and most friendly boy. You can tell everyone at Valley Dog Rescue of Texas has a true passion for caring for their animals. Carol and Leah have been so helpful every step of the way.
“Fergie truly is an extra special dog and we are all enamored with her but especially the kids. She is not like anything we were looking at to begin with (small fluffy floppy) but is exactly what we all needed. She has all the characteristics I was looking for, for our family, just in a different (and way cooler) package. I’m so glad we found her and that we are the family Valley Dog Rescue entrusted to share her with!
“After 14 years, our beloved family dog passed away, and our home felt incomplete. When we turned to Valley Dog Rescue, we were met with kindness and care every step of the way. From start to finish, the process was thoughtful, supportive, and centered on the well-being of each dog.
